Kids Out

\"RotaryEvery year, in June, the club takes a large group of disabled children for a day out at Wicksteed Park, Kettering.

The event is supported by most other clubs in District 1070 and the park is full of happy smiling faces, the children playing on the swings and roundabouts, riding on the miniature railway, watershoot, astroglides and other facilities on offer.

There is a break for a sandwich lunch and brief disco session in the pavilion. The children are supervised by their professional school carers, whilst Rotarians assist and distribute the meals.

It is a highlight in the calendar of events for those who take part, and a joy to see the children enjoying their special day.

The 2016 event was held on Wednesday 8th June
