We took part in Young Chef, holding our competition in Oct. 2019. Our winner took part in the District Final, which was a good, but not winning, experience for her at this level.
Our entries for Young Writer did well as usual, and we had a District Winner at Intermediate level (11-13), now in the national round, and a second place at Junior level (6 -10).
For the first time we entered an instrumental ensemble into the District Young Musician Competition at Intermediate level, and they won the overall Instrumental Ensemble trophy across all age groups.
We have a Junior Winner in the District Young Photographer competition, now in the national round.
We had second places in the District Young Artist competition at both the Intermediate and Senior levels.
We again ran a very successful Technology Tournament for c.50 teams of 4, in February 2020 – great fun for all involved.
Sadly, Kids Out, Senior RYLA, Calvert, and the Disability Games – part of our usual Youth Programme – were all cancelled because of the Coronavirus. We now look forward to next year, when we hope we will also have entries for the Young Environmentalist, and Youth Speaks – a Debate.
